There are three possible methods of treating prostate cancer. The urologist ultimately decides which treatment is the most suitable for you.

    The three possible treatments are:

    • da Vinci Prostatectomy
The treatment of prostate cancer by means of the da Vinci robot is a new, cutting edge technology in surgery, which makes use of highly developed modern medical techniques. In case of a da Vinci prostatectomy, the entire prostate, possibly including surrounding tissue is removed. With this treatment the risks of impotency and incontinence are brought down to a minimum. Read more about the da Vinci Prostatectomy »
    • Brachytherapy
This therapy is primarily applied for the treatment of less aggressive tumours. It is a type of internal radiation therapy with the big advantage of a relatively accurate treatment of the prostate. Read more about the Brachytherapy »
    • Tur-P therapy
If a benign enlargement of the prostate is diagnosed, the prostate will be treated surgically in most cases by means of TURP therapy. A part of the prostate is removed through the urethra. Read more about the TURP terapy »
